Covema Vernici S.p.A. was found- ed in Torino in the fifties (a period characterized by an impetuous industrial recovery) as seller of paints and complementary prod- ucts. Later on, the company start- ed its own production of in-house paints. Over the years, production diver- sified to respond to the growing market demand: from tempera paints to synthetic enamels, from washable wall colors to transpar- ent paints, from rustproofing to water-based acrylic enamels. In a few years, Covema became very successful in Italy for the quality of its production and the vastness of the range offered. This success was confirmed in 1986 by the transformation into an S.p.A. (joint stock company).
